Your first visit
It starts with a conversation, not a drill: your history, your concerns, what you want (and don't). Then a thorough exam, the X-rays that are actually needed, and a plain-English walkthrough of what Dr. Dupay sees — options explained like a teacher would, decisions made by you.
Haven't been to a dentist in years? You won't be lectured. Arriving after a long gap — often after being shuffled around elsewhere — is the most common way people get here.
Insurance, Medicare & paying for care
- Dental insurance: the practice works with many plans — call with your card handy and the front desk will check yours before your visit.
- Sleep apnea appliances are different: they bill through your medical insurance, and Medicare Part B covers custom appliances for diagnosed OSA when criteria are met. The plain-English guide.
- No insurance? You'll get real numbers in writing before treatment, and CareCredit financing is accepted.
- No surprise billing, ever: the standing rule here is that you see the cost before the work, not after.
New-patient questions
What happens at my first visit?
A real conversation before anything else: your history, your concerns, and what you actually want. Then a thorough exam, necessary X-rays, and a plain-English walkthrough of what Dr. Dupay sees — with options explained, not prescribed at you.
Do you take my insurance?
The practice works with many dental plans and accepts CareCredit financing; sleep apnea appliances typically bill through medical insurance instead. Call (239) 498-9666 with your card handy and the front desk will check your specific plan before your visit.
What if I haven't seen a dentist in years?
You will not be lectured. Patients routinely arrive after long gaps — often because they were tired of being shuffled around elsewhere. Expect a judgment-free assessment and a plan that starts where you are.
Are you accepting new patients right now?
Yes — including seasonal residents. Call (239) 498-9666 or use the request-a-call form and the office will find you a sensible first appointment.
